COTEC joins up CyG as a member so as to boost circular economy
CyG becomes full member of «Fundación COTEC» (COTEC Foundation), which is directed by Cristina Garmendia and a benchmark for the boost of innovation through public-private partnership in Spain.
The company will lead a working group to boost a circular economy model development which prioritises sustainability and seeks to reduce the environmental footprint of economic activity.
19 November 2020. CyG it Sustainable Tech becomes full member of Fundación COTEC, a benchmark organization in the boost of innovation from a public-private initiative in Spain.
The foundation, integrated by the main companies and institutions of the country and directed by Cristina Garmendia, has held its Annual Membership Meeting this week at ‘Palacio de El Prado’ in Madrid, and it has been attended by its Honorary President, HM The King Felipe VI. On this occasion, and due to the recommended prevention measures, most of the attendees took part in the meeting via video conference.
CyG It Sustainable Tech was represented in this meeting by its CEO, Alejandro Costa, who, in his speech, highlighted the company’s strong commitment to contribute and boost sustainability in the tech sector. “The sector will only move forward if it commits to a circular economy model which reduces its environmental footprint and makes it sustainable over time”, pointed out Costa. In CyG “we took the decision of taking the circular economy to the next level, pioneering the use of reused technology to extend devices useful life”, he emphasized.
Therefore, from now on the company will lead from COTEC a working group that analyses and boosts different initiatives and projects for the promotion of a circular economy model from the tech sector in Spain.
“Being part of the innovation lighthouse COTEC represents today is an honour for us, and we are delighted to be able to lead a qualitative leap in the circular economy implementation in Spain collaborating with different experts” claims Alejandro Costa.
By starting to be part of COTEC, one of the largest business and institutional forums of the country, CyG strengthens its compromise with sustainable tech and the sector reduction of environmental footprint.
